Natural Resources Canada, in partnership with Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, Indigenous Services Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Infrastructure Canada, have recently established the Clean Energy for Indigenous and Remote Communities Hub. The Hub was launched in April 2022 and will be the single-window entry point for the Government of Canada to support Indigenous and remote communities transitioning from fossil reliance to clean energy. Join this session to find out more about the new Hub, ask questions about federal funding to NRCan Representatives, discuss your energy-related priorities, and connect with other community clean energy leaders.

Building Community Capacity through Certification and Training (Churchill Ballroom)

 

This closing session will focus on certification and training opportunities for community members as offered by CIET and ICE. We will hear from a CEC who has completed the 20/20 Catalyst Program and will discuss the impacts of that training. We will also hear from another CEC who is currently completing her CIET Energy Advisor Certification and will explain why this certification is important to her community and to her as an Indigenous woman.
